She was predeceased by: her husband Cornish DeShazo, Sr.; and her siblings, Corine Collins, Estelle Pettiford, Odell Harris and Thedford Pettiford.
She is survived by: her children, Cornish DeShazo, Jr. (Ruth) of Roxboro and Bruce A. DeShazo; her grandchildren, Pamela DeShazo-McIver (Carlton) of Roxboro, Bryant DeShazo (Sionne) of Durham, Patrick DeShazo of Roxboro, Boris DeShazo of Durham, Keisha Moore of Allensville and Erica Woody of Durham; and her nephews, Floyd Harris of Philadelphia and Martin Harris (Susan) of Austin, Texas. She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
