He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Glenn and Hallie Oakley Clayton; and his siblings, Leon Clayton, Donald Ray Clayton and Geraldine C. Wilborn.
He is survived by: his wife Mabel R. Clayton; his children, Linda Darnell Clayton Barker (Steve), Kent Theodore Clayton (Laura) and Keith Douglas Clayton (Darlene Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Nina Barker Gibson, Destiny Gail Clayton and Kasey Clayton; and his great grandchildren, Logan Elijah Gibson, Madalyn Klaire Gibson and Kinzley O'Rourke.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brooks and White Funeral Home (907 Durham Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
