She was predeceased by: her parents, David Floyd and Lillie Susan Crabtree McCullough; her husband Ralph Sanford Whitfield; and her sister Wilma Rimmer. She is survived by: her children, Randall Whifield (Bethany), Alison Grindstaff (Baron) and Andrea Smith (Vincent); her brothers, David McCullough and Danny McCullough; and her grandchildren, Samuel Grindstaff, Michael Whitfield and Gwendolyn Smith.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brooks and White Funeral Home (907 Durham Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
