He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry Clayton and Minnie Bohannon Clayton; his spouse Bobbie Jean Walker Clayton; his son Steven Howard Clayton; and his siblings, Carlton Clayton, Linwood Clayton, Lester Clayton, Aubrey Clayton and Evelyn C. Overby.
He is survived by: his children, Keith Clayton (Grace Stewart) and Amy Clayton Long (Linn); his daughter-in-law Terry Clayton; his grandchildren, Brittni Myers, Kacey Clayton and Samantha Clayton; and his great grandchildren, Levi Paul, Addison Martin, Madi-Lynn Drumwright and Lakyn Drumwright.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brooks and White Funeral Home (907 Durham Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
