With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gordon Carl Southern (Roxboro, North Carolina), who passed away on February 1, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Coolidge and Virginia Louise Gaither Southern; his siblings, Bob Cole, Samuel Southern, Sr., Austin Southern, Sr., David Southern and Linda Sue Wood; and his grandchild Bentley.
He is survived by: his wife Berta Alice Roach Southern; his daughter Frances Louise Tuck; his stepchildren, Bruce Wayne Roach and Darlene Harris; his brother Mark Southern; and his grandchildren, Asa Tuck, Jessy Tuck, Jessica Tuck, Casey Rowland, Zachary Roach, Ashley Guth, Virginia Southern, Joseph Southern and Dustin Southern. He is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Brooks and White Funeral Home (907 Durham Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
