He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Poole Painter; his children, Alisa Painter Leybourne (Carl) of Oak Ridge and Kendall Woody Painter (Gia) of Harrisburg; his siblings, Linda Painter Howerton of Roxboro and Ronald Dean Painter (Carol) of Oak Island; his grandchildren, Greyson Edward Leybourne, Taylor Leybourne Robless (Cosmas), Austin Leybourne, Margaret Addison Leybourne, Colton James Painter and Aubree Margaret Painter; and his great grandchildren, Chandler Rose Eyring and Leo Alexander Menjivar.
