He is survived by: his sons, Chester Mayrice Barnette, Jamie Lamarte Barnette (Chasity) of Roxboro and Christopher Layne Barnette (Tamara) of Greensboro; his grandchildren, Jashawn Barnette of Raleigh, Nya Barnette of Greensboro, Amir Barnette of Greensboro and Johnae Cobb (Tyrone) of Gibsonville; his great grandchildren, Tatum of Gibsonville and Taylin Cobb of Gibsonville; his brothers, Raymond Barnette of Semora, George Barnette (Eva) of Leasburg and Walter Barnette (Evelyn) of Leasburg; and his siblings-in-law, Bessie Mae Barnette of Ringgold, Virginia, Nancy Barnette of Semora, John Benson of Leasburg, Clinton Pointer (Lorena) of Roxboro and Phillip Ferges (Anna) of Massachusetts. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
