He was predeceased by: his parents, David Pendleton Ford and Elizabeth Hardin Loftis Ford; his wife Cynthia O'Dell O'Briant Ford; and his siblings, Eddie Ford, Billy Ford, Sylvia Briggs and Anne Hatcher.
He is survived by: his children, Chuck Ford (Marsha) of Roxboro, NC, Craig Ford (Kristal) of Rougemont, NC and Carla Ford-Jordan (Jean Evans Duncan) of Roxboro, NC; and his grandchildren, Candice Ford, Cristin Christiansen, Garrett Ford, Kaylin Jordan, Lauren Ford and Courtney Ford Dixon. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
