She was predeceased by: her children, Tracey Lea Clay and Benjamin David Clay; and her brother James Freeman Goods, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Reverend Benjamin Clay; her daughter Minister Priscilla Clay Thompson (Maurice); her grandchildren, Alexis Thompson, Austyn Thompson and Benjamin Thompson; her sister Ernestine Goods; her niece Hazel Goods; her nephew Justin Goods; and her aunts, Ossie Goods Clay (Jasper), Eugenia Wallace and Lillian Lewis (Bobby). She is also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Union Grove Baptist Church (3081 Union Grove Church Rd, Hurdle Mills, NC 27541).
