We bid farewell to Alfred Franklin Cole Jr. (Roxboro, North Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 10, 2025 at the age of 96. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Franklin Cole and Retha Jenkins Cole; his wife Nancy Mackie Cole; his sisters, Besty Ann McNeil and Sarah Jane Jordan; and his son-in-law John M. Garrard.
He is survived by: his pet Hyco Lake; his daughters, Nancy Sternberg (Eric) of Napa, CA, Ann Garrard of Cary, NC and Lisa Nelsen (Chris) of Pinehurst, NC; his grandchildren, Cole Sternberg (Kelsey), Claire Niday (Rickey), Elizabeth Yarnall (Nathan), John W. Garrard (Mia), Dane Nelsen (Anastasia) and Chase Nelsen; and his great grandchildren, Edna, Ruth Sternberg, Everly, Lyla Niday, Isabelle and Natalie Yarnall.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Long Memorial United Methodist Church (226 N Main St, Roxboro, NC 27573).
