He was predeceased by: his parents, Bradford Locklear and Irene Locklear; his son Welton Locklear Jr.; his brother Willie Dean Locklear; and his granddaughter Kayla Watson Locklear.
He is survived by: his children, William Locklear (Vanessa), Roman Locklear and Jo Ann Lappe (Larry); and his brother Dwight Locklear. He is also survived by four grandchildren and one great granddaughter, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
