She was predeceased by: her parents, Pearlie Mae Hunt and Willard Hunt; her brother Rudy Hunt; and her granddaughter Angel Locklear. She is survived by: her husband Kelly Ray Chavis; her daughters, Telena Hunt (Rick) of Pembroke, Pandora Chavis of Rowland, Kelly Kyle Chavis, Kelsey Chavis and Santaria Chavis; her grandchildren, Kegan Hunt (Miranda), Jelena Lowery (Sapatrick), Samira Lowery, Dalton Lowery (Mariah), Carry Campbell Jr., Kelton Campbell (Alyssa), Carah Campbell, Kearston Campbell, Aiyana Ward, Samantha Locklear and Jacinda; her siblings, Randall Hunt (Barbara) of Denton, NC and Tammie Hunt (Larry); her nephews, Larry Hunt (Eusebia), Charles Hunt (Heather), Kevin Hunt, Ryan Hunt and John Hunt; her niece Tanesha Hunt (Brett); and her close friends, Wanda Cox McNeil and Dinah Hunt.
