She was predeceased by: her parents, James Jones (Bud) and Lula Jones; her sons, Bobby Ray Jones, Willie Jones, Dwayne Chavis and Matthew Chavis; her siblings, Zachary, Beulah, Moses, Uriah, Naomi, Nehemiah, Ruth and Esther; and her son-in-law Don Tyler.
She is survived by: her children, Leon Jones (Alica), Joanne Locklear (Sam), David Hunt, Charlene Hunt (Jack), Patsy Jones, Tammy Brayboy (Charles) and Vicky Hunt (Windell); her daughter-in-law Bonita Jones; her brother Samuel Jones (Zennie); and her close friend Mazie Owens.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Benson Chapel Baptist Church (270 Benson Chapel Rd, Rowland, NC 28383). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Benson Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery (270 Benson Chapel Rd, Rowland, NC 28383).
