He is survived by: his wife Agnes Chavis; his children, Linda Chavis of Tennessee, Johnny Hunt (Darlene) of Lumberton, Delois Chavis (Cleveland) of Fairmont, Willa Hunt (N. A.) of Rowland, Cindy Chavis of Fairmont, Wendy Lee Chavis of Fairmont, Carolyn Hunt of Fairmont, Peggy Clark (Roy) of Pembroke and Lannie Brewington (Victor) of Lumberton; and his sister Christine Chavis of Fairmont. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 1 step great-grandchild; and a host of relatives and friends.
