She was predeceased by: her parents, Earlie Carter and Queen Smith Carter; her siblings, Earlie Carter, Jr., Chan Carter, Brenda Carter and Rebekah Carter; and her son William Oxendine, Jr..
She is survived by: her close friend Garland Oxendine of Rowland; her husband William Oxendine, Sr. of Rowland; her siblings, Joyce Oxendine, Teresa Johnson, Ester Carter, David Carter and Michael Carter; her sons, David Oxendine of Rowland, Roy Oxendine (Casey) of Rowland, Matthew Oxendine (Dhani) of Rowland and Troy Oxendine (Nicky) of Charlottesville, VA.; her stepchildren, Michelle (Geno) of Rowland and Eric Oxendine (Crystal) of Tennessee; and her children, Marlena Oxendine and Shania Oxendine. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
