She is survived by: her husband Alfred Mitchell Sr.; her children, Vivian McCallum, Alfred Mitchell Jr. (Marcella), Sheila McBryde (Dwight), Deborah McBryde (John), Gale Durant (Linwood), Viola S. Davis (John), Michael Mitchell and Christopher Mitchell (Anissa); her stepdaughter Kembera Staton (Joseph); her adoptive daughter Carol Bryant (Michael); her siblings, Martha Powell of New York, Alonzo Williams of Lumberton, NC, Dave Williams, Samuel Williams of New York and Steve Earl Williams (Diane) of Virginia; and her sisters-in-law, Doris Williams and Willie Mae Williams. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, relatives and special friends.
