He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Cummings and Lucinda Cummings; and his siblings, David, Amos Jr., James, Monroe Cummings, Annie Ruth Bell and Noralee Holland.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Cummings; his children, Ervin Cummings Jr. (Sara) of Lakeland, F. L. and Darlene Scruggs of Clarkesville, TN; his grandchildren, Diona Scruggs, Justin Cummings, Jessica Cummings and Christine Scruggs; and his brother Levi Cummings (Pricilla). He is also survived by many brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews.
