She was predeceased by: her parents, Liston Bethea and Rosalie Bethea; her husband Robert Frank Pate; and her siblings, Gene Bethea and Betty Ann Durham.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Pate (Martha), Thomas Pate (Bett), Deborah Brewer (Harold) and Michael Pate; and her siblings, Hazel Canady, Buddy Bethea (Diane), Peggy Harrelson and Sonny Bethea (Sylvia). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nephews, nieces.
