Deborah Brooks Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Deborah Brooks (Rowland, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 7, 2024 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Deborah Brooks to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Sherman Brooks; her daughter Johanna Oxendine; her son-in-law Johnny Hammonds; her parents, Francis Kemerer and Beulah Kemerer; and her grandparents, Conley and Cottie Ransom.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Anthony (Tracy), James Sherman Brooks (Yingchung Zhang), Donna Hammonds, Mary Jane Brewington (Eric) and Anecia Lee (Roger); and her siblings, Jean Swinson and Jerry Deese.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hopewell Holiness Methodist Church (3512 Union School Rd, Rowland, NC 28383). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at the Hopewell Holiness Methodist Church Cemetery (3512 Union School Rd, Rowland, NC 28383).
