He was predeceased by: his parents, Sergeant Lacy F. Hunt and Janie Chavis; and his sister Doris Faircloth. He is survived by: his daughter Twilla Chavis Allen (Brad) of Lumberton; his granddaughter Abigail Bernice Allen; his sisters, Betty Jo Hunt of Fairmont and Vera Chavis of Fairmont; and his cousin James "Red" Hunt of Rowland. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
