It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William A. McFarland of Rougemont, North Carolina, born in Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on September 11, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther T. McFarland and Velma Laws McFarland; his daughter Emily Marie McFarland; and his siblings, Philip McFarland and Barbara M. Erger.
He is survived by: his wife Blanche Jones McFarland; his children, Patricia Ann and W. A. McFarland, Jr. of Rougemont; and his siblings, Luther (Nita), Harold McFarland (Priscilla) and Yvonne McFarland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church: 1605 Bahama Rd., Bahama, N.C. 27503.
