She was predeceased by: her parents, Wiley Lunsford and Lillian Oakley Lunsford; her husband Joe Thomas Bowling; and her brothers, Wiley Ray "Flukie" Lunsford and Sherwood "Snook" Lunsford.

She is survived by: her children, Michael Todd Bowling of Rougemont, NC and Kathy B. Oakley (Ted) of Rougemont, NC; her grandsons, Jeremy Thompson, Joshua Oakley, Michael Ray Bowling (Courtney) and Matthew Joe Bowling (Bailey); her great grandchildren, Jonathan Josef Thompson, Gaitlin Ray Bowling, Lila M. Bowling and Eisley Bowling; her nephews, Lynwood Lunsford and Dale Lunsford; and her cousin Susan Cox.
