He is survived by: his wife Delores Yarboro Dean; his daughter Marsha Baird (Richard) of Oxford; his grandsons, Darrell Baird of Oxford and Brandon Dean of Rougemont; his great grandchild Brittain Dean; and his sister Irene Hicks of Raleigh.
