It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sue Bowling Aiken of Rougemont, North Carolina, who passed away on January 22, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucious H. Bowling and Sallie Clayton Bowling; her husband William Henry Aiken, Sr.; her siblings, Clyde Thomas Bowling, Rufus Edward Bowling and Lillie Mae Lunsford; and her friend Annie Mae McBroom.
She is survived by: her children, William Henry Aiken, Jr. of Rougemont, Bonny A. Thomas (Bill) of Hillsborough, Joe Aiken (Debbie) of Bahama and Glyn Aiken (Laura) of Durham; her grandchildren, Lisa Johns, Daniel Aiken, Brad Aiken (Lindsey), Matthew Aiken, Jessica Aiken (Christopher) and Kelly Griffin (Chris); her niece Gail Tremmel; and her close friends, Merritt, Lois Jones, Babara Pendergrass and Melissa Walters. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
