She was predeceased by: her mother Mildred Mae Blalock Aiken; and her husband Billy Peele. She is survived by: her father Edison Aiken; her children, Kimberly Peele Kreem of Rougemont, Stasha Kathryn Castillo of Durham, Sonya Mary Batchelor of Raleigh and Aaron Aiken Peele of Durham; and her brothers, Gary Aiken of Raleigh and Ricky Aiken of Goldsboro. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren.
