She is survived by: her parents, Wayne Bird and Chesteen Lancaster; her husband Ricky Shepherd; her children, Brittany Shepherd, Taylor Parks (Michael), Montana Walker, Hayden Rigsbee, Cayleigh Hunt and Lincoln Best; her grandsons, Landon Stone and Chance Green; her siblings, Stephen Bird (Leanne), Michael Bird (Ashley) and Haley Bird; her stepmother Marcia Bird; her mother-in-law Faye Shepherd; and her aunt Beverly Klus. She is also survived by uncles, aunts, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to Duke Cancer Center.
