He is survived by: his wife Darleen Gates Smith; his daughters, Lisa Smith of Rougemont and Lara Smith Garrett of Rougemont; his sister Mildred Smith; and his grandchildren, Elisabeth Godwin, Victoria Godwin, Payne Garrett and Davis Garrett.
