He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Algie Epes and Lily Whitlow Long; and his siblings, Evelyn Vires and George Thomas "Tooney" Epes. He is survived by: his wife Nellie Robinson Epes; his sons, Michael Epes of Rougemont, NC, Charles Epes of Rougemont, NC and Steven Epes (Rhonda) of Roxboro, NC; his granddaughters, Chelsea Epes, Taylor Adessa (David) and Shannon Dixon; and his pet Toby. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, his family, friends and dogs.
