It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Mervyn Day (Rougemont, North Carolina), who passed away on February 6, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivey Day and Eleanor Clayton Day; and his sister Delores Day Gooch. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Duke Day of Rougmont; his stepdaughter Carlene Harris (Donny) of Timberlake; his brother Barry Lane Day of Yanceyville; and his stepgrandchildren, Dustin Harris, Jayme Welch (Rhonda) and David Harris (Kristie). He is also survived by ten step great-grandchildren; one step great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
