He was predeceased by: his wife Julia Gray Hall; his brother Reade Hall; and his grandson James Edward Beasley, II. He is survived by: his children, Roger Lee Hall (Joyce) of Rougemont, Debbie Hall Berry (Steve) of Rougemont and Michael Hall (Shelia) of Rougemont; and his grandchildren, Kevin Berry, William Hall, Amber Hall, Carol Cowan, Jamie Beasley and Linda Morris.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Bethel United Methodist Church, c/o Alma Moore, P.O. Box 261, Rougemont, NC 27572.
