He was predeceased by: his parents, George Godley and Callie Mae Godley; and his brother Robert Allen Godley. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Murray Godley; his children, Rex Allen Godley (Pam) of Pittsboro, NC and Kim Godley Van Roy (Joe) of Rougemont, NC; his sister Frances Anne Bass of Maryland; his grandchildren, Christopher Allen Godley (Ally), Michelle Van Roy (Adam), Adam Van Roy (Samantha), Chris Massey (Lindsey) and Brandon Massey (Katie); and his great grandchildren, Jake Godley, Myles Massey, Owen Massey, Cayson Massey, Walker Massey and Hunter Van Roy.
