He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Ellis and Christine Frankie Davis Ellis; and his sisters, Patsy Britt and Penny Winstead. He is survived by: his siblings, Vernon Ellis (Belinda) of Stem, NC, Larry Wayne Ellis of Rougemont, NC, Deborah Vandeventer of Butner, NC and Mark Ellis (Darlene) of Roxboro, NC; and his daughter Crystal Ellis Blackmon.
