She was predeceased by: her parents, Ollie Stophel and Cora Owen; her husband Albert Israel; and her siblings, Manuel, Ken Stamey and Dora Farley.
She is survived by: her children, Chester Israel (Sandy) of Rosman, Kent Israel (Tammy) of Rosman and Anita Bezera (Michael) of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Stephanie Painter, Justin Israel, Jessica Roess, Brittany Israel and Olivia Israel; her great grandchild Osie Chapman; and her siblings, Bill Owen, Lela Galloway and Tabitha Owen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Baptist Church in Rosman, NC or to Western Carolina Community Action.
