He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Gordon and Reba Clayton Lance; his wife Sandra Patterson Lance; his sister Barbara Rigsby; and his niece Christy Rigsby.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ellen Leopard (Gerald) of Brevard, Eloise Mooneyham (Mike) of Seneca, SC, Rosemary Wich (Steve) of Pisgah Forest, NC, Jimmy Lance (Maxine) of Rosman and Eddie Lance (Hettie) of Brevard; his close friend Matthew Pruitt; and his niece Tina Pressley (Tim).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Meals on Wheels at the Tiger Town Thrift Store.
