He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clay Ellis and Judy Ann Norton Ellis; his wife Dorothea Ellis; his children, Toby Ellis (Michelle) of Parkton, Boyd Ellis (Debra) of Sanford, Betty Pope (Tommy) of Roseboro, Cynthia Ellis of Roseboro and Kayla West (Chris) of Roseboro; and his grandchildren, Steven Hayes (Brittany) of Salemburg and Scott Hayes (Nina) of Tampa. He was also cherished by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
