She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Arnold and Daisy Lee Cloinger Herring; her husband Jimmie Lee "Jake" Sandy; and her sister Carol H. Goins. She is survived by: her children, Leigh S. Smith (David) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jennifer Ammons of Cedar Point, NC and Arnold Sandy (Caroline) of Roseboro; her grandchildren, Amber Cooper, Ben Sandy (Kristina) and Josh Sandy; and her great grandchildren, Benleigh Sandy, KrisAnna Sandy and Olin Cooper.
