She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Owens; and her siblings, Dipsie Owens, Rebecca, Arletha Melvin, David and Authur Melvin.
She is survived by: her brother Clarence Melvin of Wilmington; her children, Lillie Lamb (Wilfred), Elaine Owens of Roseboro and Edward Earl Owens; and her grandson James Owens of Clinton.
