She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ira Godwin and Lou Ester Lee Godwin; her husband Arthur Cannady; and her siblings, Beulah May Godwin, Lee Ingram Godwin, Peggy Godwin, Earthly Godwin, Charles Godwin, Lucille Hinson and Veloria Tew.
She is survived by: her sons, Ronald Cannady (Pamela) and Arthur Wayne Cannady (Heidi); her grandchildren, Arthur DeRon Cannady (Laura), Holly Cannady Tapia (Gabriel) and Meagan Cannady Wiggs (Brian); her great grandchildren, Zoe Cannady and Zac Cannady; her sister Gloria Boone (family: Jeff Warren); her niece Maggie; and her nephew Collin Warren. She is also survived by son and family.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, 1481 Fleet Cooper Road, Roseboro, NC 28382.
