He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wentworth and Naomi Mae Maness Carter; and his siblings, Shirley Annette, Ola Mae Autry, Thelma Evelyn Benton, Doris Laverne Carter and Billy Ray Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Carter; his daughter Michelle Willard (Scott) of Yorktown, VA; his siblings, Elsie Marie Lucas of Roseboro, Mary Francis Williams (Edward) of Roseboro, George "Junior" Carter, Jr. (Shirley) of Roseboro and Wilbert Lee Carter (Bonnie) of Hampton, VA; and his grandsons, Matthew Tyler Willard and Nicholas Alexander Willard. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
