It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Walter Coats (Roseboro, North Carolina), born in Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on December 23, 2019, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John "J. C." and Sally Lucas Coats. He is survived by: his sister Jacqueline Melton (Billy) of Garner; and his nephews, John Faircloth, Franklin Melton and Darrell Melton. He is also survived by three great nephews and two great nieces.
While flowers are accepted, memorial contributions may also be made in Johnny's name to the Free Will Baptist Children's Home 7907 Buck Deans Rd, Middlesex, NC 27557 or to a charity of one's choice.
