It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Byrd (Roseboro, North Carolina), who passed away on June 19, 2018, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Ulysses Byrd; his wife Willie Byrd; his siblings, Rosa Byrd and Johnnie Byrd; his daughter Dorothy Francis; and his significant other Gladys Anderson.
He is survived by: his parent Elouise Byrd; his stepchildren, Betty Murray of Fayetteville, Willa Atkins of Fayetteville, Carolyn Williams of Fayetteville, Enice "Bud" Adam of Charlotte and Willie Charles Anderson of Burlington; his niece Neshawn Bird of Charlotte; and his sister-in-law Sarah Bird of Bridgeport. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and friends. 15 step-grandchildren.
