Jimmie is survived by: daughters, Tara Melvin of Newburgh, NY and Tanisha Melvin of Newburgh, NY; grandchildren, Qaadir and Ghamani; and siblings, Thornie (Betty Melvin) of Raleigh, NC, Julius Ray Melvin of Roseboro, NC, Bobby (Kathy Melvin) of Roseboro, NC, Ruby C. Peterson of Roseboro, NC and Lizzie "Sue" Stevens (Earl) of Clinton, NC. Jimmie is also survived by nieces, nephews.
