He was predeceased by: his parents, Fannie Elizabeth Liles and John William McLean, Sr.; and his siblings, Thomas Grady McLean, John William McLean, Jr., Eugene Liles McLean, Earl Crawford McLean and Mary Ellen Saunders.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Paul McLean; and his children, Renee Miller (Dwayne) of Rockingham, Paula Crumpler (Houston, III) of Roseboro, Edde McLean (Jeannie) of Rockingham, Ronald McLean (Karen) of Rockingham, Patrick McLean (Tina) of Rockingham and Williams G. White, Jr. of Carolina Shores. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First Methodist Church (208 Sampson St, Clinton, NC 28328). Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at the Richmond Memorial Park (1717 E Broad Ave, Rockingham, NC 28379).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Methodist Church in Clinton, Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church in Clinton, and Pruitt Health Hospice.
