It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Christine Jones of Roseboro, North Carolina, who passed away on September 6, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ransom Carl and Carrie Mae Whaley Wheeler; her spouse J. D. Jones; and her siblings, Ruth Thompson, Frances Hanns, James Earl Wheeler, Bobby Wheeler, Ricky Wheeler and Jimmy Wheeler.
She is survived by: her children, Carrie Marie Rico (Jose) of Roseboro, Billy Jones (Denise) of Roseboro, Leroy Jones of Roseboro and John Jones of Harrells; and her siblings, Debbie Sheffield of Rose Hill and Charles Wheeler of Wallace. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
