He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Aloyious (Bert) and Carrie Mae Ingram Giddens; and his siblings, Patricia Giddens, Bennie Giddens, Luby Giddens and David Giddens.

He is survived by: his siblings, Ellen Jackson Donovan (Phil) of Wilmington, Joyce Crisp (John) of Dunn, Linda Hairr Fredricksburg (Charles) of Virginia, Carolyn Tew (Charles) and Carl Giddens (Marsha) of Pinehurst.

At the family's request all services will be held privately due to COVID-19.
