He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Haywood Tyndall and Viola Westbrook Tyndall; his wife Martha Diane Tyndall; and his siblings, Dr. Hubert Durwood Tyndall and Gladys Tyndall Garris.
He is survived by: his sister Doris Tyndall Lancaster of Goldsboro; his children, Carl Haywood Tyndall Jr. of Greenville, Pamela Ann Tyndall of Mt. Olive, Jason Leonardo (Wendy) of Salemburg and Michael Tyndall of Tempe, AZ.; his grandchildren, Lindsay Roberson (Brian), Emily Matthews, Dustin Leonardo (Kelsey), Kelly Daigle (Micah), Hunter Leonardo and Jesse Matthews; and his great grandchild Riley Leonardo.
