It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brenda Kay Simpson of Roseboro, North Carolina, who passed away on December 2, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Allen W. McCarley Sr. and Jessie Bennett McCarley; and her siblings, Allen W. McCarley, Jr., Janette Player and Frances Frost.
She is survived by: her husband Harry T. Simpson Sr.; her children, Gloria Rich (Anthony) of Garland, Donna Hinds (Mark) of Raleigh and Harry T. Simpson Jr. of Roseboro; her grandchildren, Darryl Davis Jr., Hannah Rich, Sarah Rich, Matthew Rich, Grace Rich, Wyatt Simpson, Breanna Simpson, Kaelyn Simpson, Derrick Hinds (Fernanda), Brittney Hansen (Evan), Joshua Hinds, Caleb Hinds and Kaylee Hinds; her great grandchildren, Emilia Hansen and Lyna Hinds; and her siblings, Thomas McCarley (Jian) of Four Oaks and Margaret Beaudoin of Raeford.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mount Carmel Church (1655 Mt Carmel Church Rd, Autryville, NC 28318). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Mount Carmel Church of God of Prophecy (1655 Mt Carmel Church Rd, Autryville, NC 28318).
