She was predeceased by: her parents, Evander Straughn and BeTTie Quinn Straughn; and her husband David Neil Cain, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Neil Cain (Rosemary) of Sunset Beach and Elizabeth Lynn Cain Hines of Creedmoor; her grandchildren, Justin Quinn Hines, Kramer Creech Hines and LeAnn Cain; and her brother Perry Straughan (Ava) of Jacksonville.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Roseboro Methodist Church, P. O. Box 8, Roseboro, NC 28382.
