It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Annie Jane Simmons of Roseboro, North Carolina, who passed away on September 28, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Smith and Mae Annie Robinson Smith; and her husband L. V. Simmons. She is survived by: her daughter Hilda Simmons Palmisano of Roseboro; her granddaughter Alaina King of Fayetteville; her great grandchildren, Connor McGarry, Patrick McGarry and Delcan McGarry; and her siblings, Polly McMillan of Fayetteville and Kermit Smith.
