She was predeceased by: her parents, Orin Ralph Spivey, Sr. and Mary Gaddy Spivey; her husband John E. Patterson; and her sister-in-law Barbara W. Spivey. She is survived by: her daughters, Lynn Patterson Murphy (Ronnie) of Pinehurst and Sandra Patterson Spivey (Chris) of Monroe; her grandsons, Kyle Murphy, Colby Spivey (Morgan), Colin Spivey and Clay Spivey; her brother Ralph Spivey, Jr. of Fayetteville; and her close friend Wyman Honeycutt.
